What advantages do aligners have over brackets?
Aligners are removable (better hygiene), virtually invisible (greater patient acceptance), cause no mucosa irritation, and allow remote monitoring via photographs. Plus, with the digital workflow you can plan the final result before starting treatment.
How are aligners manufactured?
3D-printed models are thermoformed to produce the aligners. We start from the patient's intraoral scan, design the movements in the planning software, print the models for each stage, and thermoform each aligner over the model using high-quality thermoplastic materials.
What is the laboratory's role in aligners?
The laboratory plans the movements in 3D, manufactures the aligner sequence, and delivers it ready to use. We work directly with the practice to adapt the plan to your clinical criteria before manufacturing.
How long does aligner treatment last?
Treatment time varies with case complexity. With GO 10, simple cases can be resolved in 3–5 months. Moderate MID 20 cases typically last 6–12 months. Complex FULL cases may require 12–24 months. These are indicative times; actual duration depends on patient compliance and case requirements.
