FAQs about Dental Veneers
Everything you need to know before your first veneer case
What is a dental veneer?
A dental veneer is a thin layer of ceramic or resin bonded to the facial surface of a tooth to improve its colour, shape or position. It is the most conservative aesthetic dental solution when the tooth has a healthy structure but aesthetic concerns.
What types of veneers do you manufacture?
We manufacture lithium disilicate veneers (IPS e.max) for cases requiring maximum strength and translucency, and composite resin veneers for more conservative cases or when a more cost-effective result is sought. Both with a 100% digital workflow.
Why lithium disilicate and not zirconia for veneers?
Lithium disilicate has translucency very similar to natural enamel, making it the preferred material for anterior veneers. Zirconia, while stronger, is more opaque and less suitable for restorations where blending with natural teeth is critical.
Why composite resin for some veneers?
Composite resin is a valid option for thinner veneers, younger patients where maximum enamel preservation is desired, or when the patient is looking for a more affordable alternative. It has lower strength than disilicate but can be an excellent solution with the right protocol.
