Starting from your patient's intraoral scan, our team designs the splint in CAD and manufactures it using 3D printing with Class IIA biocompatible resin. Frequently asked questions about Splint Brux®

Everything you need to know before ordering your first digital splint

What design options does Splint Brux® offer?

Splint Brux® is available in three configurations: Canine + Incisal Guidance (full posterior disocclusion), Canine Guidance (controlled group function), and Flat without Guidance (ideal for severe bruxism or TMJ dysfunction). You can specify your preference in the order.

How do I order a Splint Brux®?

Simply send us your patient's intraoral scan in STL or PLY format. We accept files from iTero, Medit, 3Shape TRIOS, Carestream, Planmeca, and most scanners on the market. Place your first order at dental.smileep.com.

What warranty does Splint Brux® carry?

All our splints include a fit guarantee. If upon receiving the piece you detect any adaptation issue arising from the manufacturing process, we will replace it at no additional cost. We also review the CAD design with you before manufacturing to prevent any issues.

What material is Splint Brux® made from?

We manufacture Splint Brux® using Class IIA biocompatible photopolymer resin certified for prolonged contact with soft tissues and mucosa. It is completely transparent, rigid, and wear-resistant.

How should Splint Brux® be cleaned and maintained?

Patients should clean it with cold water and mild soap or denture cleaning tablets. Hot water (which can warp the resin) and abrasives should be avoided. With proper care, Splint Brux® is far more durable than conventional thermoformed splints.
